Texas House
of Representatives
The Texas House of Representatives is composed of 150 members, each elected for a two-year term. The Texas Legislature meets in Regular Session for about five months every other year.

News, Information and Events
The Texas Senate is the upper chamber of the Texas Legislature and consists of 31 members representing distinct geographical districts. Each senator serves a four-year term.

House of Representatives
The House of Representatives is the legislative branch of the federal government of the United States, with representation based on each state's population. There are 435 Members of Congress who serve two-year terms.

The Senate consists of 100 Senators, with two representing each state. They are elected for a term of six years. The Vice President acts as the President of the Senate and has the power to cast the deciding vote in case of a tie in the Senate.
Guadalupe County
The county was founded in 1846 and is named after the Guadalupe River. The county seat is Seguin.
